STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT & SCHOOL POLICIES:
This document outlines the standard codes of conduct, regulatory compliance policies, and disciplinary measures applicable to all enrolled students as mandated by the school administration and the Directorate of Education (DoE).
1. Attendance, Punctuality & Gate Timings
• School Gate Timings: The school gates close strictly 10 minutes after the official arrival time.
o Grades 1 to 8: Official timing is 8:00 AM. Gate closes strictly at 8:10 AM.
o Nursery to UKG: Official timing is 8:30 AM. Gate closes strictly at 8:40 AM.
• Minimum Attendance: A minimum of 75% total attendance across the session is mandatory to appear in annual examinations. Attendance on the opening and closing days surrounding major vacations (Summer, Winter, Autumn) is compulsory.
• Medical Leave Protocol: Absences exceeding 3 consecutive days require a medical certificate from a registered doctor. For infectious illnesses, a medical fitness certificate is compulsory prior to rejoining.
• Consequences & Action Taken:
o Late Arrival (1st & 2nd Offense): Warning entry logged in the school diary / ERP portal.
o Late Arrival (3rd Offense): Student will be issued a Blue/Late Slip, denied classroom entry for the first period, and parents will be summoned to pick the student up.
o Uninformed Absence: Absence exceeding 6 consecutive days without prior written leave results in the student’s name being struck off the rolls (re-admission charges apply upon reinstatement).
2. Birthday & Peer Celebrations
• Dress Code: Students up to Grade 2 are permitted to wear decent casual/birthday dress on their birthday. Students from Grade 3 onwards must strictly wear the regular school uniform.
• No-Cake Policy: Cutting cakes, bringing pastries, party favors, return gifts, or hampers is strictly prohibited across all classes without exception.
• Permitted Distributions:
o Students may distribute small, basic candies or stationaries (maximum 1–2 per classmate).
o Students are encouraged to celebrate by donating a book to the classroom library or a plant/sapling to the school campus.
• Consequences & Action Taken:
o Non-permitted items (cakes, hampers, party favors) will be confiscated immediately at the security gate or classroom and returned only to parents.
o Physical pranks (e.g., “birthday bumps”) are treated as physical misconduct and result in an immediate Disciplinary Card.
3. Transport & Dispersal Safety
• Policy: The school does not provide transportation services. Parents/guardians are responsible for arranging safe and authorized transportation to and from school. Students may leave the campus only with an authorized parent/guardian or through a pre-approved transport arrangement recorded with the school.
• Early Dispersal / Half-Day Requests: Half-day leave is generally not permitted. In emergencies, early release is allowed only if the parent/guardian arrives in person with a valid Parent I-Card.
• Consequences & Action Taken:
o Commuter safety violations or unauthorized travel changes without prior written approval will lead to denial of gate exit until the matter is verified with the parent/guardian.
4. Electronic Gadgets & Personal Belongings
• Policy: Mobile phones, smartwatches, iPads, gaming consoles, or non-prescribed digital items are strictly prohibited. Carrying heavy cash, expensive jewelry, or unauthorized equipment is forbidden.
• Consequences & Action Taken:
o Immediate Confiscation: Unauthorized electronic devices will be confiscated on the spot.
o Retrieval Protocol: Confiscated devices will only be released directly to parents at the end of the academic term/session along with a written undertaking and a fixed administrative penalty.
o The school accepts no liability for lost or stolen unauthorized items.
5. Uniform, Appearance & Grooming
• Policy: Prescribed seasonal uniform, clean polished shoes, and official school ID card must be worn daily. Hair must be neatly groomed; boys must maintain short hair (except Sikh students wearing designated turbans/patkas). Girls with shoulder-length hair must tie it neatly with neutral bands.
• Prohibited: Low-waist/pencil-fit trousers, hair dyes, gels, cosmetics, nail polish, henna, visible tattoos, and facial piercings.
• Consequences & Action Taken:
o 1st Offense: Written note in the diary.
o Repeated Offenses: Student isolated from regular class activities for the day or sent home; parents summoned to school.
6. Major Disciplinary Infractions & Code of Conduct
• Prohibited Behaviour, Bullying & Misconduct: Bullying, physical or verbal harassment, intimidation, threatening behaviour, abusive language, fighting, physical aggression, birthday bumps, humiliation, teasing intended to hurt, cyberbullying, unauthorised photography/recording, misuse of social media, theft, deliberate disruption, repeated disobedience, leaving school/class without permission, damaging school property, gambling or any behaviour that compromises the safety, dignity or well-being of another person is strictly prohibited.
• Zero Tolerance Items: Physical assault, serious bullying/harassment, sexual misconduct, possession or use of tobacco, cigarettes, vapes, alcohol or drugs, possession of weapons/dangerous objects, firecrackers or explosive materials, major vandalism, serious threats, theft, serious cyber misconduct, or any act that may seriously endanger students, staff or the school community will be treated as grave misconduct and may result in immediate disciplinary action, including suspension or other action as considered appropriate and permissible under applicable rules.
• Consequences & Disciplinary Grading:
o Yellow Card (Minor Violations / Class Bunking / Misbehaviour): Serves as a formal warning on record. Student is barred from representing the school in sports/cultural events or holding student council positions.
o Red Card (Major Violations / Vandalism / Physical Assault): Triggers an immediate inquiry by the Disciplinary Committee. Results in 3 to 7 days of school suspension or permanent expulsion / issuance of Transfer Certificate (TC).
o Damage Recovery: Full monetary cost of repair/replacement for damaged or defaced school property will be billed directly to the parents.
